SM004 - Crisis Intervention

This training course deals specifically with the use of interpersonal and communication skills to most effectively and sensitively interview the victim/survivor of rape as required by the Ohio Revised Code. All sex offenses can be found in Chapter 2907. Rape is only one type of sexual assault covered by the Ohio Revised Code and a range of behaviors that are sexual in nature may also be part of a case where rape occurred.

The purpose of this course is to examine protection orders and their legal influences. Additionally, this course describes the four types of protection orders in Ohio, and how they differ from Divorce Restraining Orders and No Bond Orders. Students will learn about Full Faith and Credit as it applies to protection orders, and liability issues associated with protection orders.
